@AlexBerenson To me $TSLA is more the AOL of today. Had a massive first mover advantage, then got destroyed by an historically bad acquisition and market forces and withered away. At this point investing in Elon Musk nuking his own customer base has to be more dumb than investing in dial-up.

@Moonboy08 @LolaOla35171376 @fasc1nate AOL came a little later. Prodigy online was the only service and it was very limited & mainly consisted of BBS's, IRC, some low rez games due to the x.25 modem dialup it was dog slow and porn was not accessible then thru the service. AOL bought it & CompuServe later in the 90's

When I did roleplaying games on aol . com ten thousand years ago in the 1997-1999 range, the air tasted better and more real than it ever will again. I have never been in a game since that time that has been as good as the stupid chaos of those white wolf chatrooms

@Moonboy08 @LolaOla35171376 @fasc1nate No one was using AOL in the 80’s. And no one was watching porn on a computer until the late 90s at best - and even then, internet speeds were too slow. You’d definitely just grab a nudy mag and handle your business before waiting on the Pan and Tommy Lee video to load.
