@jrhuddles @verge Every time a boomer asks if I want my online history held against me, they are likely talking about stupid things I probably said, but I think back to my Geocities FF7 fansite (lots of copyright infringement, I'm sure) and being accused of god-moding in an AOL Marvel Sim chat.

@trendless Yeah that is true to some extent, for some platforms. The Sierra Network was really great in its early years. By the time it was INN, the life had gone out of most of it. Usenet & AOL were never any good, imo. Structure was wrong from the outset.

I am normally against this type of ****. You know when you delete something but not fully? Mom's found chat logs. I was 9 or 10 and pretty damn familiar with the yahoo chat rooms. Iykyk. Mic'd up and all. The Wild west of the post-AOL cd internet before the oh so lovely dial-up.
