  @RealAlexJones Viruses are boring. I used punters on AOL, NetBus, and Sub7 on IRC victims. I made a script on mIRC, and when someone /joins the #channel, it would send them porn.exe; when they for sure open it, it would pop up a MsgBox "porn is broken rofl.", vbCritical, "oops". #1337h4x0r

  @_tinatruth Steve Bartlett explained financial bubbles in one minute. The AOL–Time Warner story is a powerful reminder that HIGH VALUATION IS NOT THE SAME AS REAL VALUE. It reminded me of something I wrote on August 17 on my post 👇 A GREAT ASSET doesn’t automatically make a GREAT INVESTMENT. Pay too much, and your returns can suffer. Allocate too much capital, and one mistake can damage your entire portfolio. That’s why I believe good investing isn’t just about choosing the right asset. It’s about paying the RIGHT PRICE and sizing your position wisely. The AOL–Time Warner story didn’t teach me that lesson. It reinforced it.   For me, it's more that this person has spoken to me in 10 yrs then acted like I've never been on SM or the Internet before when I've on the Internet since I was 8 yrs in the infancy of AOL chatrooms and all the SM platforms. I'm well aware of how to post and my posts.

  @Kngsolo305 I was late Gen X. I definitely got a bug dose of video games and AOL hit me hard right after high school. I remember being grounded from going outside and having to stay in my room. It was horrible. Now, kids are punished by NOT being allowed to sit in their rooms. So much has changed.

  Something about $BSP: they bought AOL at a 5x income before tax, which is optically cheap right? The small issue is that they bought it from Apollo and imho there's zero chance Apollo got a bad deal

  On the day Michael Jackson died in 2009, the internet collapsed. The LA Times, AOL, TMZ, AIM, and several other major sites completely crashed. Searches for the King of Pop spiked to an insane ~4.2 million per minute. Google believed it was under some kind of cyber attack because of the sudden flood of people searching “Michael Jackson”. Twitter went down and Wikipedia crashed around 3:15 p.m. PDT.
