This company's history/strategy is basically: 1. MySpace, but better 2. What AOL and Yahoo were getting at, but better 3. Preservation of market position Great at 1, mediocre at 2, and terrible at 3. All within 2 decades. "Seemingly unstoppable growth."

@pradaliko I'm forever loyal to the password AOL support assigned me during a password reset back in 1997.

@heroinebook It's through a private company, because I'm having trouble finding any municipal programs within our area. I just don't remember this ever being an issue when I was a kid! Swimming lessons seemed to constantly appear like AOL discs.

  • jesse_gunnels Crypto Cowboy (@jesse_gunnels) reported

@CoinMarketCap #Bitcoin is to crypto what AOL was for the internet. Initially it was great, then it was slow and outdated tech. Just my humble opinion... $BTC < $XRP

  • Darchmare Jeff — 💉💉+💉 (@Darchmare) reported

@kitchen It's true. We'd keep a pen and a bunch of old AOL punchcards near the phone for taking down notes about calls.

  • GeekyBrew Geeky Brew (@GeekyBrew) reported

@laurenboebert "Distributor vs Publisher" is a 30+ year old argument that has to do with a platform's liability exposure, not constitutional issues. Google AOL liability if you're up to some learnin' this morning. Also, Spotify is based in Sweden. #BOBO
