@aklingus There was like a 6 month period in the mid 90s where AOL chat rooms were a fun place to hang out… and when you started a convo with someone you’d have to rapid fire emails back and forth because there was no private chat or instant message system

Were talking about “What cultural item are you older than” at work. We’re slow. So far, I’m older than MTv, AOL and VHS cassettes. This is a fun game to make me feel like I AM ACTUALLY THE OLDEST IN THE STORE. I don’t like this game... I’m taking my slap wraps and going home.

The Invasion angle should've been the most epic moment in Wrestling. Without all the major stars from WCW, it never lived up to those expectations. Very disappointing. There also was no Twitter to explain those AOL contracts for those stars too. #RuthlessAggression

@annasproul I was one of a handful of producers in the Dulles, VA AOL newsroom on 9/11. The campus was evacuated after a plane that departed from the adjacent airport slammed into the Pentagon. I’ll never forgot having to sit on my hands because they were shaking so much I couldn’t type.

@AOLCustomerSupp why won't aol imap settings work. Tried 2 different computers and one hardwired in and still won't work. Just keeps asking for passwords over and over for 3 different accounts and won't sign in.

@aolmail I am sorry but I have encountered the same problem with messaging you on Twitter. The AOL service will simply not accept my password on other email clients, though it works perfectly on Thunderbird and via the Web. Do you have an email address I can contact you at?

@sadogre @questauthority Isn’t Gen X, the 60-40yo? So those of us who have know the sound dial up makes, who still have old AOL IM and MySpace accounts floating around, have cases of CDs and DVDs stuck in the closet and remember Mili Vannili? We are basically just fine with cancelling ****.

@walicolt2020 ..This is inaccurate..Gen X and Millennials paved the way so the tech you have now would be much better..Unless you wanna flip this so you can suffer with dial-up and collect AOL cd’s with 3200 hrs of free service..
