AOL Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • mzim747 Marc Zimmerman (@mzim747) reported

AOL had a $45 BILLION loss (write-down) on AOL's "goodwill" on their balance sheet in the year 2000? That's exactly what Elon Musk paid for Twitter.

  • debolander Deb Olander (@debolander) reported

@hunleyeric I got 3. I never bothered with MySpace or AOL. I can't remember what the 3rd was. I'm old too.

  • pouchedrat 🐜🪳🕸️I Like Big Bugs🕸️🪲🕷️ (@pouchedrat) reported

@BellaRizinti @vometia Lol honestly I remember AOL chat rooms from the late 90s. A LOT of the A/S/L women were just boys. They'd try to cyber with everyone in general chats and it would be painfully obvious they didn't know how female anatomy worked. Not a lot of moderators then to filter out that crap

  • BastowNatasha natasha bastow (@BastowNatasha) reported

@hunleyeric 2 for me..never had my space or AOL email

  • kdrisme Karl Relf (@kdrisme) reported

@TerryTyler4 2. Never had an AOL account, and have never paid by cheque.

  • rosacruz7 rosa cruz (@rosacruz7) reported

@bootleg_gene AOL does not - nor did it ever, as far as I can remember - exist on this side of the pond, so... But I never had a Myspace account. At the time I had a care2 account...

  • firegirl721 Jamie-Lyn (@firegirl721) reported

Crypto feels like the exciting days of AOL, Yahoo Chat rooms, and trading Pokémon cards, except now that it's Discord, Twitter, and NFTs. I've never had so much fun since then.

  • paul_gber Paul Gber (@paul_gber) reported

@paul_redfearn Ah I've never had an AOL email address. I got my Hotmail address in 1999. Only cos the i.t. guy at work couldn't understand why I had no idea what the interweb was.

  • heykerry KerryDoesVegas (@heykerry) reported from Summerlin South, Nevada

@MdotKwabena @Aella_Girl Ya think? Well it happened to me on multiple occasions. One began at a hotel pool. Another on the dance floor of a nightclub. The craziest time was with an online friend in the early days of AOL chat rooms. We agreed to meet in darkness and never saw what the other looked like.

  • mzim747 Marc Zimmerman (@mzim747) reported

AOL was doing gangbusters in Revs leading up to the year 2000. Pretty odd. $5 BILLION in REVS in 1999 (666 upside down is 999). Then in the year 2000 AOL did almost $7 BILLION in REVS.
