@FrDaveNix you seem to be having an issue with your email notifications on your website...I signed up 1st using an AOL address. That worked fine, even though I got a suspicious so called pay pal email. Then I signed up with a Gmail account and nothing at all was received...

When you get to a certain age, the spam from AARP is as thick and pointless as all those AOL CDs in the 90s. Stop wasting your money people, I am never signing up. Seems like a Ponzi scheme, spending the money from the prior to sign up new.

The people who are really celebrating this morning are the former Twitter shareholders. There hasn't been a tech purchase this bad since AOL and Time Warner merged. Kudos to those who got paid while the Titanic was 2/3 of the way underwater.

Second worst acquisition in history, the first was AOL’s acquisition of Time Warner..

@itsJeffTiedrich Support this platform is not in my future, have to just delete the app because Twitter makes it harder to leave than the old AOL or Comcast

Philip A. Wasserman (@pawlawscv) reported
@LizNigroCFLS Down 33 billion on the close. Worst buy since AOL Time Warner, unless he can take it public one day at a price above $54.20. But he’s got the platform. Who knows? Good deal for the shareholders who cashed in.

@triassebastian2 @AmVirtueOrg All websites are publishers and "platform" isn't in Section 230 Zeran v. AOL "Lawsuits seeking to hold a service liable for its exercise of a publisher's traditional editorial functions – such as deciding whether to publish, withdraw, postpone or alter content – are barred"

@richburroughs @relistan I want to say my first "Social Network" was MySpace? I was just a little too young for Friendster, but I do remember AOL Chat Rooms if that counts

@Justsmackit Twitter is already on the path to demise. This is the worst tech acquisition since Time Warner purchased AOL. Why do you think Twitter shareholders were so eager to do the deal?

Daniel Rogers (@thecla923) reported
I used to hang out in prodigy chat rooms and remember transitions to AOL ones. I never expected to be on Twitter forever. I’ll miss some of you guys but I will also enjoy watching Elon steer this into the ground while losing a ton of money.

@aolmail Hello! My husband uses AOL mail in the UK and seems to have an issue with sending to and receiving from @btinternet.com email addresses. Is that a known issue?
