@FranckPachot I've spent literally years not being able to access one mail account through POP because the AOL/Computer Compuserve documents don't specify OAUTH2 instead of SSL. And their support people don't seem to know it as a result. Yes, this the account I've had for 30 years.

Individuals within the C-suite at @Verizon responsible for decisions related to acquiring @AOL, @Yahoo, both of which are now effectively valued on the balance sheet at $0, should be fired and never considered for an industry role w/ decision making responsibility. IMHO.

[product]@aol.com Or [service]@yahoo.com Might be desirable since there can only be one email address of its type in the world. Also AOL and YAHOO email addresses are possibly the oldest email address brands on the Internet.

@LewdCelly Maybe chalk it up to social media and the usage of the term 'friend' therein. I remember one **** in middle school trying to tell me I had no friends compared to her when all she had to prove it was a list of AoL instant message 'friends' she jotted down the next day.

@Caiti I started on AOL, if you only count "social media" then sconex was probably the first network I was on. God I'm old.
