Hail all the streaming platforms whose entire business model is to get ppl signed up for a free trial to watch the one movie that isn’t available elsewhere, and then continue to bill the 57% of people who forget to cancel. Congratulations, y’all are the AOL of the 21st Century.

@TheRealCLZ @animatedbreak I have three points. The only things I never did was make a myspace account, have an AOL adress and use a paper check.

  • GromBeestje André (@GromBeestje) reported

@ThisOldTech2 I have never had an AOL email address, as AOL didn't operate in the Netherlands. Nether have I paid anything with a paper check. We stopped using those in 1990... but I understand they're still around across the ocean.

@coffee_anytime 1 - Never have ever had an AOL email account.

  • dnwiebe Dan Wiebe (@dnwiebe) reported

@biancawelds I never had a MySpace account. Actually, I never had an AOL account, but I'm not counting that one, because I was working for CompuServe when AOL took it over, so I say that qualifies.

  • KimchiKawaii1 Kimchi Kawaii⁷ 🇰🇷@AnimeBoston (@KimchiKawaii1) reported

@BerryBlitzPlays Lol. I got one point too. I never had an AOL email.

  • tautology0 ẗäüẗöl̈ög̈ÿ (@tautology0) reported

@danjconn I never had a myspace nor an AOL account. I was around at the time, just never bothered. Cheques aren't quite as dead as they could be - HMRC still used them for refunds until a couple of years back.

@QuillGoblin 2 points... Did this on Luckybun's post too xD But we never had a typewriter growing up, Dad always had computers, and we had "COMPUSERVE" as our ISP, so no AOL for us.
