@ShuttleJim Agree to not agree. People don't use AOL IM anymore is all. Plus you know lighting doesn't settle and it's the same as the current system but with btc. Agree on eth having issues.

@xandria0119 @KingKong260666 LOL I didn’t say anything about Bitcoin did I? I said about following the advice of influencers. I never said Bitcoin will die, go to zero, or any of that….but fyi, if that is your argument, AOL also revolutionized the internet. Being first means nothing…lol

  • Tammyttt Tamara (@Tammyttt) reported

@AOL How can I get aol help in America? Do you have an actual American office? The Philippines and Romania could not help? The run around is unreal HELP!

@TIA_Lucas20520 Back in AOL days I got a random message. I met the girl for dinner. She didn't look anything like her pic. Dumb as rocks and after dinner I took off and never met a random online person again.

Kids these days cry about their favorite show buffering but never had to wait for Dial Up to get on AOL. #90skid

  • TheThirstyWench Robin LeBlanc, from work (@TheThirstyWench) reported

@TwoLemonades Can't wait to sit down and tell kids about AOL chatrooms. You could have been talking with a 48 year-old man claiming he's a child, or a child claiming they were a 48 year-old man. Either way unlike today you were told it was dangerous to meet a stranger on the internet

  • keepingkayfabe Limitless Cat Daddy. (@keepingkayfabe) reported

@AcpwFox98 There were a ton of factors, a TON. So much so that two full books on the subject didn’t cover all of it. Regardless, if you narrowed the company’s death down to one thing: it was the warner/aol merger.

@TicTocTick None of you were around in 2000 - this is what Y2K traded like - blow off top, massive down days followed by massive ups, then just massive down days and no ups. Shook out by 2002. Look at AOL, Yahoo, Inktomi - the darlings never recovered

  • Gratikus Glenn Gipson (@Gratikus) reported

@ThomasMiata @FedorovMykhailo Bitcoin is like the AOL of crypto...old and outdated. The transactions are super slow and the fees are super high. Coins like Avalanche and Polygon are the future.
