@clairecmc I called AOL to cancel my Dad's account after he died . They wanted to know why it was being cancelled, I told them because my Dad, the account holder, had passed away. They then wanted to upgrade him. I said no, he won't need it because he's DEAD. They don't listen, don't care.

BS Labs (Devoid) (@BSLabs6) reported
@Infosec_Taylor @AlyssaM_InfoSec Before they were AOL, they were Quantum Computer Services. They had an "online" service called Quantum Link, which was initially a C-64 (and C-128) specific service. Before that they were (I think) the first subscription game download service - for the Atari 2600!

Captain Crypto (@RealCaptNcrypto) reported
@Talisman042 I think that if they do not do something fast they will end up becoming the AOL and Nokia of the cryptospace, due to the high gas fees they are losing support on a daily basis and the more developers that switch to Rust(solana code) the more business Eth will lose & not recover.

I found out that I was "old" today. The worst part is that I found out while searching for like minded people in an AOL chatroom.

@kendallweihe @wintonARK Permission-less Public-Chain >>> Private blockchain oxymoron. That’s there, but..what is @wintonARK trying to imply in this tweet? That 1997 is the wrong analogue due to Walled garden of AOL vs open network of crypto of today?
