@AOLSupportHelp No one under 50 is using your email services. But for those holding onto @aol legacy email addresses, the spam problem is really gross and there is no excuse for it. Do better.

  • fMRI_guy Dr. Jens Foell (@fMRI_guy) reported

@soundray I don’t think that’s a very good comparison (but then again I never hated AOL) — the internet was ridiculous and mostly useless in the beginning, but it never had the fundamental flaws that we see in cryptocurrency

  • WheresWalter69 WheresWalter69 (@WheresWalter69) reported

@EvansvilleIggy @AOL Absolutely mind blowing how terrible he is

  • Radiiusx Radiius🔜LAYZ @ DENVER (@Radiiusx) reported

I'm absolutely convinced Hotmail/Outlook goes out of their way to have the most trash spam filter possible. Even AOL does better, which is a sentence I never expected to use under any circumstance.

  • esmcelroy Eric McElroy (@esmcelroy) reported

@BadLegalTakes Do we really want Meta writing the VR “bill of rights”? Should we allow Twitter to arbitrarily enforce its TOS when it feels like it? Probably no. But S230 as written effectively allows for this, because it was written when the biggest interactive computer service was AOL!

  • AshKetchup69420 Mr. Pika (@AshKetchup69420) reported

@CartoonFan18 I'll have to downgrade my internet to dial up and login to my AOL account

  • dereklongstaff Derek Longstaff (@dereklongstaff) reported

I don’t like social media. I know, hypocritical to post this on SM. But search on FB, Twit etc. is awful. Format, organization and content algorithms are ****. SM in 2020s is AOL in the mid-90s. You use it only bc you must.

  • ShadSterling Shad Sterling (@ShadSterling) reported

@justkelly_ok It looks like the Prodigy of 3D online worlds (Prodigy the pre-internet/pre-AOL online dialup online service, basically a glorified BBS, which had a proprietary GUI and hosted some games, where on a slow day you could watch the characters be drawn, curve by curve)

  • TownGaz Grey Town Gazette (@TownGaz) reported

@GeraldKutney @Tony__Heller Simply evidence that Twitter is self-destructing. It will become an irrelevance. No service is too big to fail (remember AOL & MySpace?). In the Twitter context, any social platform that blocks dissenting views does not have a purpose or a future.

I appreciate what Jet Blue is trying to do to give free wifi on flights, but it’s so so bad. Like dial up AOL 1997. Elon is going to put humans on Mars any day now & I can’t get reliable wifi on a flight. wtf are we doing.
