@KannyDlein @DesertLeviathan @JustinMcElroy Lmao damn. Seriously I think we should be, well KNOW we should be waaay more advanced speed wise but man is it waay Better. 56k was traaaassh. And even early DSL was garbage too, although quite a step up compared to that. Can't believe AOL/AIM isn't around anymore

@TubaZef I mean I get nostalgic for, like, early AOL chat room days and ****, like the Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon spaces, but other than that? Outside of early Neopets and the like, kids today aren’t missing much.

  • JefeBen1 Jefe Ben CEO@JEFE - $FTM 👻 | $JEFE 👊 (@JefeBen1) reported

@TheMoonCarl No, FTM will reach the top 10 mcap coins, and when it does. ETH will lose market share. They aren't innovating fast enough, there is too much competition, their tx speeds are slow and their gas fees are insane. They will be like the aol of the dial-up days soon.

  • LimitedRunJames James Mielke (@LimitedRunJames) reported

AOL Instant Messenger never failed me like Slack does.

  • samhumphries Sam "The Hammer" Humphries (@samhumphries) reported

@rob_sheridan I remember the warez that modded the AOL app (I think?) that generated fake tokens so that AOL was essentially free? They didn’t fix it for yeeeeears.

  • falconsview Ben Tomhave (@falconsview) reported

It's dawned on me that I'm just now getting my feet under me after all the upheaval I experienced post-AOL when I left there in late 2007... real estate bubble, bad jobs, pneumonia, and the pandemic all have kept me quite off-balance for what's been a very long time...

  • donmoore Don Moore (@donmoore) reported

@johnrobinson @shannimcg AOL is your solution...

  • stecal12 Subject 89P13 (@stecal12) reported

@SlackStatus 1st-world problems continue. Please don't make us have to use AOL. Thanks.

  • ElisabethRappe Elisabeth Rappe (@ElisabethRappe) reported

@JimJarmuschHair I’ve never forgotten some commenter lecturing me for not asking Robert Rodriguez for the 8,194,000th time when A DAME TO KILL was happening. (And they did it in that AOL RPG chat speak just to make it even more irritating.)

  • sophisticynic sophisticalcynical (@sophisticynic) reported

Reminiscing back to the good ol’ days when I had reliable internet service via AOL and my dialup modem. @SuddenlinkHelp—I work from home and I have no internet. I ain’t got nothin but time until I’m back online. Fix. My. Internet. Today. #SuddenlinkCustomerServiceSucks
