    @jkranites @nodqdotcom WCW was going out of business because Time Warner and AOL didn’t want wrestling apart of their portfolio. Regardless of how good or bad WCWs financials were. The executives had been trying to convince Ted to sell it since 1989. They tried to sell it in 96.

    @BackpackerFI 2/n of shareholder equity. But: had they failed, the buyer would have barely noticed. And we never hear of the many frogs they kissed, that remained frogs. An acquisition like BRK-BNSF, AOL-TimeWarner or Disney-Pixar, on the other hand, is betting a meaningful % of the equity
