Need y’all to get off of Al Gore’s internet... you are clogging up the lines. WiFi is slow as a turtle. 🐢#Covid_19 93 AOL dial up.

@Disillu44186678 @WWFCounselor I’m sure there was discourse, but it was likely limited to smaller forums and AOL Instant Messenger or something. Social Media has REALLY magnified both the good and the bad aspects of wrestling fandom in a big way.

@sharrington2000 @EASPORTSNHL all they do is copy and paste the same damn game year after year while still finding ways to somehow make it worse and using the same servers AOL used in 1997 for online play. so glad this garbage heap of a company gets sued every year for their BS

  • mischiefinsf mischiefinsf (@mischiefinsf) reported

@robilwil It was great through the 90s and early 2000s, then went on life support with the advent of Craigslist. (I don’t know if AOL hook-ups were a thing in the early days of the internet.)

  • ccallahan91 Chris Callahan (@ccallahan91) reported

@AOLSupportHelp is the IMAP server down? My outlook email wouldn’t work so removed it to add it back in and I am getting a message that they could not log on to the incoming imap server?

  • iaincollins Iain Collins (@iaincollins) reported

@thedoh @synackpse It was meant to be a joke then I had a flashback. MySQL on PHP could use file caching for SQL queries, and at a least once place I worked - AOL UK/TalkTalk - the cache was a shared volume web servers mounted over NFS and it had every entirely predicable problem.
