@yoonsholIy I think the show itself started on bad faith terms. They wanted the star power of aol and l&r in one instead of wanting to show a good story or a good piece of work. Everyone is complaining about how it's just a bad mixup of every popular xianxia.

  • Dons_Lawn_Salon Walter Melon (@Dons_Lawn_Salon) reported

@atothe_d @tinybaby They had dudes in aol chat rooms for 24 hours a day going "I'm 13/f Cali. Buy some twisted teas and come over" and were supposed to think that the marks were the bad guys

  • GigiBowman Gigi Bowman #TeamTracyBeanz💎@UncoverDC (@GigiBowman) reported

@libsoftiktok @CitizenFreePres I learned from being friends with two cross-dressers (which is what we called them in the 90s) that this is a mental problem. Each would send me ims (on aol back then) and talk to me as two different people —as if they were a man and a woman. And talk about the other one....

  • PositronicPain Kat Korvus-Thuja, Cop Puncher Extraordinaire (@PositronicPain) reported

Just remembered a dream I had the other day where I was trying to log into AOL on a Zune. And you think you have problems

  • JacobMainord JacobDMainord (@JacobMainord) reported

@ZoopWolf and I tried that on the old AOL message boards. But it also was something I couldn't talk to my parents about. Since I was turned down there, my first experience wound up being a glory hole in an adult bookstore on my 18th birthday

  • RalphWieprich Ralph Wieprich (@RalphWieprich) reported

@Dennis_Porter_ Hmm. Aol was to big to fail, so nothing is showed now. Yes , btc CAN be good, but it dont has to be!!! History show , nothing is forever!

  • Kristin85194352 Kristina Yang (@Kristin85194352) reported

Equally unusual is the way the NSA extracts what it wants, according to the document: “Collection directly from the servers of these U.S. Service Providers: Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, PalTalk, AOL, Skype, YouTube, Apple.”

  • Jason jason@calacanis.com (@Jason) reported

@jasonlk @thesamparr Media has never had insane multiples… weblogsinc was a random rare early sale with $150-200k in revenue and a 150-200x multiple (~30m)… but AOL determined it was going to be their entire pivot to content Buzzfeed is the most wild example right now… check their P/S 👀
