@gatorgar As an AOL internet baby, I must confess I never saw much of a point in books. In fact I learned the lion's share of my grammar and spelling from AOL chat rooms. I was never a huge fan of fiction (basically I never read fiction) and everything I wanted to know what on the internet. People have this thing still, like, "Oh, well if you don't read books, you're an idiot..." I've been glued to the computer since the internet started. I've been 'reading' my entire life.

@edward18517 @Reenlsober To the complete contrary, you have franchises like Zelda who have NEVER (Not counting AoL) used numbers to denote main titles. I'm not taking a side, just having fun sharing ideas.

@BadfishRanch @BlueFlameBlues As someone who was nearing 30 in the mid-2000s when started I had never had an AOL account before. Blew my mind that all my counterparty interactions were using that platform. No ICE chat then too but you could message anyone in the bid stack which is bonkers to think about too

Loudon County, VA has the highest median family income in the country. It is not the richest--Elon doesn't live there. Loudon was the headquarters of the internet 30 years ago. AOL had their HQ there. The data centers were built before residents knew about the problems.
