    Gah. Cancelling my @amazon prime membership was not as harrowing as cancelling AOL was, but damn. Had to keep affirming cancellation.

    @goatincharge AOL was a bot different as it was a portal & a service provider displacing CompuServe and The Source. It originally provided a dial-up service, a web portal, e-mail, instant messaging and later a web browser following its purchase of Netscape.

    Had a dream that I sent the wrong person an inappropriate message and I didn’t calm down until I remembered that AOL instant messenger was shut down years ago & it couldn’t have been real

    @lipstickandtech It doesn't help that LI has a messaging system that seems to have been designed to be painful. I'm pretty sure AOL mail in 1992 was better designed.

    @slpng_giants AOL had issues with boundaries/the line between what people could volunteer for (and free aol) and what people were paid to do. (Way back in my olden days) How do you set and hold to a standard? Moderation is important and @Twitter you should pay for it.
