    @thecryptomonk That sucks. Here too, not a lot of choices early on. I think there was worldnet, tiscali/world on line, club internet. Then came Aol and Liberty surf with more hours of internet per month lol.

    @ScoutSweeney I was around for e-world too. The backend and the initial client software were written by AOL under contract to Apple. I had just started at AOL as a support tech and did a bunch of testing as overtime work.

    Anytime a customer gives me a Hotmail or AOL email address I usually make a comment about how old it must be. Last week someone gave me a Juno email which I forgot was even a thing.

    @JoeBorelliNYC Same here , we’ve been using an aol email account for our business since 1999. We have backup gmail accounts and they are all down right now

    All Google services are presently down worldwide. Deliveroo and Uber Eats down worldwide over the weekend. US Treasury hacked over the weekend. Okay, that's it. Everyone back on AOL.

    @PagesUnbound I used to be on the AOL service when they were an access provider but that didn't last long. LOL, I just checked! I can't get to AOL's email because it doesn't like my browser! (chrome a google product) Things never change.
