  • prchovanec Patrick Chovanec (@prchovanec) reported

    9. Nobody is making me use it, and nothing - not even the network effect - is really preventing someone from offering something substantially better. If they did, I suspect it would quickly go the way of Blackberry, Blockbuster, and AOL.

  • JakeToadNYC Jake Toad (@JakeToadNYC) reported

I miss the days when my AOL told me I had mail rather then my #Twitter telling me it’s going to sell out to a fascist *******

  • ritarepulsimp Barret, Rita Repulsimp (@ritarepulsimp) reported

@merrittk He added me on AOL when I was 12 and I kid you not he would not shut ******** up about echidnas.

  • Jcot1106 Löwkëy (@Jcot1106) reported

@TheMissNguyen You will never be able to replicate the magic of the AOL chat room

  • BurntOrangeMD Burnt Orange MD (@BurntOrangeMD) reported

@MrReaganUSA The twatter employees will simple start a new company, with all of twatter's secrets. Google was predominantly built by Netscape employees, after the merger between AOL and Netscape. Google would have never become the company that it is today, without Kordestani and others.

  • PaoloTognetti UltimaTrincea (@PaoloTognetti) reported

@AOLSupportHelp Sorry for my insistence. I've done further tests and sent to you a DM with more details. I believe that the problem is not my Thunderbird, as the inconvenience also occurs with other software to manage mails.

  • soiendure Jenner (@soiendure) reported

@AmiliahDaBengal @TeabreeShark I don't remember my password ans signed up for tumblr with an old AOL email address I no longer use so ****.

  • hamilcarenina Dissociation Bagel, an Adult Human Female (@hamilcarenina) reported

@eileenmnoonan I think the best option rn would be discord. There are people still trying to make fetch happen with Mastodon, but it's... all the worst parts of early AOL global chat plus all the worst part of an NFT rug pull discord all in a user interface that feels like a stroke in 1995.

  • JQT_GalaxE Jenny Q Ta (🫶🏼,🫦) ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔ (@JQT_GalaxE) reported

@69INMYPRIME @WSJ Weird, but I've never used it tbh. I went from AOL to Facebook then Twitter and game over for everything else... Instagram once in a few months

@cryptomanran Bitcoin sucks bro, if you can’t spend it instantaneously a new technology will replace it such as @Dashpay which works instantly. BTC is like AOL or MySpace in the 2000’s
