once a friend asked me to check on a person she supposedly 'loved' on a site but she had never met him. I created a SN ScatterClothes quick flirt in Instant message this was AOL he jumped into private chat with me I copied stuff she dumped him stat cool sn though eh? lol

You ever randomly think of someone you used to know from the AOL chat rooms? Someone whose real name you probably never knew, but you talked to them regularly for weeks/months? Never knowing that one day, they'd exit the chat and that was the last time you'd ever speak to them?

@kimshootsthings @thelensofdan I never got into MySpace. I was using dial-up BBS's before internet access became widespread, then Prodigy, then AOL. I did have a Geocities website for a while, though.

@ItsTheBrandi A few years ago I dusted off my old MySpace username and password - which I was apparently still using as recently as 2014 - and they didn't work. AOL deleted all my old accounts after I didn't sign in for a few years. I think a lot of social media sites purge after a while.

@1872RCK Got it in the end, for some reason the email didn't go to my AOL phone app? Got it by logging on with my laptop, must be to do with the **** net connection. I'm glad I saw your tweet about this being the last day to apply 👍
