@evan_van_ness The blockchain with a compiler version that isn't even v1.0 release and doesn't natively check for integer overflow errors? I'd wager ETH becomes the AOL of crypto in < 3 years. It will have value of course, as an archive for better tech.

I don’t give a frick frack **** if the file type is technically gif. When referring to small, looped animations present on geocities and angelfire sites of the AOL/Netscape internet era that roughly encompasses 1990-2007, the correct term is “blinky.” Period.

@realhotdogjones @saiint @maiden_of_spear Specifically REPEATEDLY throughout multiple novels LTT is only EVER referred to as THE DRAGON. never TDR. The DO broke through into reality during the AOL. there is no other knowledge of DO touching The Pattern prior to AOL.

@mekkaokereke I worked on the AOL Mobile Communicator, which had instant messaging too. We prototyped one that also had maps and MLS listings for real estate agents, but the business deal fell through and it never made it to production.

@TReese381 Age of Legends opener was the worst part of the episode. What the hell is the Tamyrlin Seat? I have loved most of the episode 1-7 adaptations but the AoL scene was awful. Imagine how cool it would have been opening the show with the preface of the books. Unless saving for later?

@liron @balajis Mid 90s, most websites did not have photos. There were articles in major magazines about the internet where writer had mistakenly never been on internet. Was actually in AOL or Prodigy. The internet was a vague idea to most people.

@Billy_Todd That was a weird scene overall, but not my biggest complaint. Either the Lews Therin/AoL flashback was *really* badly written or they made a *major* change there.
