    The inherent issue surrounding control over internet money is it reduces open network innovative market forces. Think AOL which initially offered better features but corporate owned vs free and open internet. Should govts co-opt blockchain it will reduce future innovation.

    An instance is like selecting an email service. You may be on gmail, but yr pals on aol or yahoo. You can still email one another tho. That’s how decentralized communication works. If AOL were shut down, u cd migrate to gmail, etc. or u can start yr own server. That’s the concept

    @herBUTTERFLYway @il0venostalgia That's not the AOL sound. That's the sound from logging into a privately hosted BBS (Bulletin Board Service) or CompuServe. AOL didn't exist yet when I first started going online. Neither did the World Wide Web. Yeah, I'm old.

    @stormstrikegame I never get Xbox or PS, I only ever get one sent from Nintendo. Now that I think about it, I don't think I get Xbox because I have my account linked to my old AOL email and never changed it lol
