@engineers_feed Netscape offered a web browser (which appeared identical to the open source Mosaic, except for the N logo) but AOL provided a bundled software solution and dialup Internet service. AOL CDs were delivered with junk mail and given away with newspapers/magazines.

@dufrianord @RL4DJT Excuse me but not true. I’m a millennial and guess what? I lived on AOL dial up internet. Anyone who has had AOL dial up internet knows what’s up. That **** was hooked up from your home phone so if someone called you, you lost your connection LOL.

@ayvalentine Yes. I had one monthly support group for a bit. No internet groups, it was 1994. Some AOL but I was more into that after treatment, coleading chats, forming a website etc.

Mid-summer I had a crisis when I couldn't download one of my Verizon accounts emails from AOL into Thunderbird. Tonight I got a breakthru & managed to recreate my account on Thunderbird, AOL told me to delete. Still get same error message, but I found a fix I'll try Saturday.

Twitter was founded in March 2006. At that time I was 14. You can‘t say ****. My first platform to interact with people online was the ******* AOL chatrooms and that was a dumpsterfire in itself.

@AOLSupportHelp Hi my mam has a aol email account (in the UK). She cannot access new emails and all old emails seemed to have disapeared. She uses an internet browser to view, not the app. Is there an ongoing issue?
