@heatherw25 My AOL screenname from 1997 will never die ;)

Here's my issue... I have been a fan of #BigBrother for 22 years. I remember @JCMoonves interviewing Regina from AOL about the chatrooms. If you sign up to play, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. They not only made it personal against @ShannaMoakler but made a bad move for themselves. #CBBUS3

I wanna know who came up with the god awful idea to make every washing machine *PING* like an AOL messenger notification without anyway to turn it off. @Samsung explain yourself.

@kysue925 We had to go through record players, cassette tapes, CD’s, VHS tapes, DVD’s BluRay,MP3’s, and had the internet from AOL and dial-up through highspeed. Half of us had to start with cars with manual transmissions. The only thing we never saw in our life was a World War.

@nearbyplanet never heard of @protonmail.com, lots of aol accounts, didn't know they still existed

  • glg70 Gilly G (@glg70) reported

@TalkTalk Sorry that isn’t what I was told this morning I know what I didn’t hear, we wouldn’t have upgraded (in my email it does state ‘at no extra cost to me’) & gone elsewhere! Been with AOL since 2002, then changed to TalkTalk, so a very loyal customer! Nobody is listening to any calls

  • Sol_less_ Sol Less (@Sol_less_) reported

Sometimes this NFT **** is too much to keep up with. Why is the future of the internet so tied to talking in a chat room (aka discord)? If that's the case back in 2001 me and my friends were doing web3 **** on AOL Instant Messenger w/ dial up. #Solana #SolanaNFTs #NFTs

  • TheRealPatNolan TheRealPatNolan (@TheRealPatNolan) reported

@BaldBryan I remember one that was just a blank screen with a busy signal playing. It was an ad for whomever was competing with aol at the time, attacking how people were getting busy signals with their dial-up modems w aol.

  • heck_engine nonbinary plankton (@heck_engine) reported

@norintha @PizzaFacts2go @FlorenceLaReine wtf is an aol keyword

  • DarthMandark Nyankee (@DarthMandark) reported

@SoulBender5G @WVGovernor At least me and my crew aren't stupid enough to fall for it, and I host and operate what was once the most popular and influential social platform on earth in the 1990s, AOL Instant Messenger, so I can spread the message effectively.
