  • Jimbo3DC Jimbo (@Jimbo3DC) reported from Washington, D.C., District of Columbia

@woolfhound That was precisely my experience with NYT, and it reminded me if when I had similar experiences trying to cancel my AOL or Bally's membership. Tacky and desperate.

  • HeySheckie Sheck'quon 🤷🏻‍♂️ (@HeySheckie) reported from Bethesda, Maryland

@ESPN your iPad app is literally one of the worst playback devices I have ever used. It’s like watching video on a 1994 AOL dial up. app.

  • JaydeColer Jayde Willow Coler🏳️‍⚧️ (@JaydeColer) reported from Arlington, Virginia

He IS a security risk but I’d say he’s more like Netscape (old as shit and useless) or the old AOL software (kept around far longer than should have been because people liked the one catchphrase it had)

  • StepToTheMic Kodi Seaton (@StepToTheMic) reported from Washington, D.C., District of Columbia

Some of you have never spent a summer messaging a complete stranger on dial-up AOL Instant Messenger and it shows. 😫 #LoveIsBlindNetflix #loveisblind

  • Cr8DigitalAsset Christina Haftman (@Cr8DigitalAsset) reported from Fair Oaks, Virginia

@robertoblake I went to college pre internet. We had large computers with floppy disks, DOS command prompt, loud, vibrating dot matrix printers and slow screechy modems. This was before Windows and IE. Before email. Before AOL. Before NETZERO. Before Yahoo Messenger.

  • AdamLovesFood Adam Levine (@AdamLovesFood) reported from Chantilly, Virginia

5 Jobs I’ve had: 1. Intern / Mascot @ABC Kidzine on @AOL 2. Catering Staff at countless DC Caterers 3. Founder / Owner of JAM Productions and the Exchange VIPs 4. Sales/Service at @CustomInk 5. All things SEO @Appian

  • Beav_Patrick Patrick Beaver, MCFE (@Beav_Patrick) reported from Washington, D.C., District of Columbia

@nbcwashington Not to mention... jobs are always fluctuating in the NOVA/DC area. Just look at the horrible Yahoo!/AOL deal Verizon did now resulting in 10,000 "voluntarily" firings. Unknown how many are in the D.C. area.... I would guess many... but could be wrong.

  • byajperez A.J. Perez (@byajperez) reported from Washington, D.C., District of Columbia

@RyanMRuark @AOL @Outlook @gmail I don’t want to have to do any more remote tech support. They can’t screw up @ubuntu.

  • byajperez A.J. Perez (@byajperez) reported from Washington, D.C., District of Columbia

@RyanMRuark @AOL @Outlook @gmail I’m from the southern edge of Silicon Valley. It was almost as bad. (Awful cable and phone service.) Also, I’m installing Linux on their desktop when I’m back for Christmas without telling them.

  • 322jn322 John Nolte (@322jn322) reported from Washington, D.C., District of Columbia

    Almost as bad as AOL

  • CruzTravelLady Terry (@CruzTravelLady) reported from Brookfield, Virginia

@GreenyRU @njh287 Worked on the AOL account years ago and the yellow guy is/was their Running Man... their service at the time was supposed to be faster than a running man.

@cokequ30 @AOL Too bad you are so hateful, it’s not becoming. We need peace rather then your hateful comments. Feel sorry for you

  • Stefferfritz16 Stefferfritz (@Stefferfritz16) reported

@Blizzard_Ent I have tried to email customer service and haven't gotten an answer. I have an account that I cannot access because the email has been deleted by aol. Can you please help me out. I don't want to buy Diablo 3 for the 4 time now when I already have a copy...

  • ITSMMike Michael Lombardo (@ITSMMike) reported

@jacebenson I never got into lynx. I know that jeopardizes my geek membership. What comes to mind is Netscape, AOL, chatrooms, rampage toolz

@ananavarro I swear, I listened to his call with governors and he never sounded more like a crazy old *** man who still had an aol email address

  • FadeFu Optikal (@FadeFu) reported

It's the plight of a forward-thinking tech evangelist in a backwater failed state between two major metro areas. The other residents have never cared enough. "Got my AOL, I'm fine." I've lived through this already. I'm not getting hyped to be let down again.

  • Luptonium Luppy Luptonium (@Luptonium) reported

Back in the dark ages of AOL internet there was a FF6 fan site, I think it was called illusia or something. I was trying to track down the old character icons from there, but it has been closed for decades. I was going to try waybacking it but I don't remember the URL.

  • CommonCormorant Øl og skarv 🍻 + 🐦🐦 (@CommonCormorant) reported from Huntington Beach, California

Listicles. The most horrible thing that happened in… 2012. Or the golden age of the fax machine. Or 1995 when Microsoft and AOL convinced my grama to join the internet and start emailing me.

  • ward6ayfi Ward (@ward6ayfi) reported

I’ve made millions of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes far beyond Netscape and AOL. I will not improve now.
