@BlueGoesMew Most people don’t use their memberships so they’re all about the aol dial up model of “people forget they have this” and “let’s make cancelling this **** so annoying that they won’t do it”

@DespinaKarras this seems dated, but i still use my yahoo as my main email. have never had a problem. i do prefer the organization & bells & whistles and features of gmail. we have to use that for work and i do have a personal gmail. still have an aol one too - haha. use that for stores, etc.

@JettuJagga @ZuzuQueenOfMars I dropped AOL around 2000. Was doing my own websites and paid only $9.95 for hosting service with webmasters dot com. I had learned a lot about computers with that old Mac. Now, I P.C. b/c it's cheaper and can do anything that a Mac does as well.

@JettuJagga @ZuzuQueenOfMars Back in early 1994 the AOL interface for chat was a lot nicer than IRC. Plus, many places didn't get any ISP service companies in their area until mid 1994. The 1st ISP in my town had techs who couldn't work with Macs. Everything was a Mac fault...

@jerrysaltz @redsteeze Wtf is a bot? Bot meant something else to my generation of internet (IRC, botnets, early AOL chat). Now everybody is a bit mmmmm it apparently and I’m not sure what that even means anymore.

@AOL I used to get most of my news from your search engine, but your scheme of bouncing articles and items up and down to try and force more ads upon your viewers is such a turn-off and so rude that I had to bid you goodbye…
