  • Helen_Highly HelenHighly (@Helen_Highly) reported from Alexandria, Virginia

@Doc_Harding @Nerienis Perhaps their sudden popularity (and unprepared infrastructure) will destroy their success, like it did AOL back in the day with the busy-signal fiasco. 🫤

  • Messe3Christina Christina Sheryl Messenger (@Messe3Christina) reported from Alexandria, Virginia

@AOLSupportHelp I have been trying to get to deactivate the my account but when I called Customer Support, they’d told me that I would not be able to deactivate it for a year!! 😭😭😭 Please help me!!

  • gatlingxyz Tavon (@gatlingxyz) reported from Huntington, Virginia

I'd known about #DnD but never played. Not even the geeks/nerds in my school played, as far as I know. And most of my schools have always been predominantly Black, so there was no representation. (I did do a lot of text based RPing on AOL tho)

(Opinion) current life stage of #NFTs using other technologies as examples: The Internet: that time when u had dial up and needed an AOL CD Smart phones: that weird time period when the phones didn’t have a full browser and you had to push the screen buttons stupid hard.

  • Manda4UA Amanda (@Manda4UA) reported

I wish @Twitter would make it to where you don’t have to see the chats up top. I will never enter a chat-this isn’t AOL 1999- so I wish there was an option to hide them.

  • AyemTweetsSigns . (@AyemTweetsSigns) reported

Wanna know what trauma most likely layed dormant in my body when the hood was the hood before and the start of world wide web internet ~ when the AOL dial up and I heard it for the first time. Horrible noise. I have schizophrenia rn and this year that AOL dial up rebounded

  • Bonniezilla Secretary of Loneliness Bonnie Smalley (@Bonniezilla) reported

@garyvee Discord is like a fancy IRC for people who don't know how to use IRC. It's like AOL being a dumbed down internet for people who don't know how to use the internet.

  • OccupyBergenC Occupy Bergen County (@OccupyBergenC) reported

@drbenway99 @SerpicoDet I have a friend who used yahoo & icloud, had more problems with each of them than I have had with AOL since ’90s—no quota issue despite 1000s of e-mails [they drop off eventually if not saved], have 7 screen names (only 3 active, really, 1 that I mostly use for online shopping).

  • barelyamelia Barely Amelia (@barelyamelia) reported

Verizon buying AOL. Mary Wittenberg stepping down from the beginning.

  • FloridaCardGuy FloridaCardGuy (@FloridaCardGuy) reported

@DrewCards_ Blockbuster, Circuit City, Toys R Us, and AOL stock are/were investments. 1952 Mantles, Tobacco Era cards, 1980 Rickey Hendersons and anything with the name Mike Trout = unequivocally not an investment. And you're wrong and stupid if you disagree.

  • BearUrine Dances with Nut Jobs (@BearUrine) reported

@edithhonan @iburrell Buzz feed bad been a dumpster fire for years. It’s just all finally catching up to them now. Soon they will be the way of aol

  • snowstorms Christopher Barnes (@snowstorms) reported

Ultimately only olds will ever have purchased music so it’s not a long term problem. But it makes you wonder how much revenue is ******* in companies with stuff like this. It’s like AOL Dialup Users: The Next Generation.

@aolmail I keep getting security prompt to sign in with auth. code. I do not have 2 step varication set up! This has to stop its waste so much time. What can I do
