@jaynordlinger There can be some arrogance in some New Yorkers. I remember many years back @AOL announced a big launch in New York and through shade at Boise. Got such bad press they ended up having a separate launch in Boise.

Hmm I guess it could be l have been aol chatrooms, now that I've gone down this rabbit hole. But like that seems pretty wild for a random house in the "wrong town" to have. I'm insufferable. It was a good watch.

@pierogiwitch @AFinalBoy @beenotbea If he was stealing AOL it would’ve been a login for a screen name or master account — this was ~2 years before America On-Line introduced flat rate and you paid $3.50 per hour that you used on the service, plus any charges to dial-in if it wasn’t local.

@pierogiwitch @AFinalBoy @beenotbea If he was stealing AOL it would’ve been a login — this was still 2 years before America On-Line introduced flat rate plans and you paid like $4 per that you used on the service, plus whatever charges to dial in if there wasn’t a local node.

@aolmail for a few months now I've not been able to setup AOL mail IMAP on my phone. It gives a login error to check email and password, but I can login fine through browser. What going on please?
