@AntheiaMystic @ABeautifulCult1 Pay for it. Hmm...know have to click past advertisers, where revenue comes from. If people stop advertising...Everything has its day. Perhaps the ship is going down like AOL.

@rosapolverosa @satanscatsmom Accidentally had way too many interactions with random adult men on AOL as a young child because my dad allowed me to make my screen name LittleFreak512 and then hang out in chat rooms all the damn time.

@ShelbyKStewart @mcspocky And if they screw it up it ends up in the cyber graveyard with Myspace, Netscape, and AOL? Perhaps a new service, identical to classic Twitter will emerge? Seems the thing about capitalism is the bastards will all stab each OTHER in the back, too. That's our ace in the hole.

@MarcusHelton And if they were rich enough to have dial-up that busy signal while they were on AOL was real.

@bitcoinisation Well it’s up to him. He’s the leader. The market and traders don’t care. They all just want bitcoin to be gone. Same crap happened with the internet vs Netscape and AOL. The internet didn’t have shares you could trade

@JayHadHope @JCorvinusVR Sounds like the argument a VP of product made that the internet would never catch on because AOL was so dominant and it only made sense to invest with them because the internet would never be able to penetrate their market share. It feels EXACTLY like that.

@Raspberry_Foxxo My AIM username was SeaMonkeyMama. I had just gotten seamonkeys at the time and. I couldn’t think of a name so my mom suggested it. It’s a terrible name for a little kid to use on AOL instant messenger. But now I wanna make a big tittied milf shrimp character.

As an ultra-introvert bordering on socially anxious, the promise of web3 is just as exciting for me as the day I logged on to AOL for the first time. Using this thread to chronicle my shallow understanding and ask for help.
