@toomuchnick I know rappers have been using it to talk **** to each other, as far as I can tell. It sounds like old school AOL chatrooms.

@RubinReport With the AOL CD you could use the reflective side to flag down a passing boat. The other isn’t that bright.

@HeyHeyItsConrad Lmao it's crazy how many avenues this guy tried to take in order to see WCW fail... We're gonna find out one day he was the one orchestrating the aol/timewarner merger from a distance.

  • davebonawits Dave Bonawits (@davebonawits) reported

Something I used to do on late 90s AOL was browse stranger’s profiles. People would list their favorite bands and and I would make note of certain band names if they listed just a few bands I liked. I’d later spend 15 dollars on cds of bands I never actually heard. #myalgorithm

@AOLSupportHelp could you help me get back into my old email account? I need access to retrieve my Facebook password.

@JMReitman @schlaf AOL is the best answer on this thread. Everyone signed up for AOL b/c it was an ISP for dialup. Once people got DSL, AOL was finished. AOL either needed to (1) purchase the broadband lines or (2) develop a search engine & social network, monetized off ads. Huge headstart too.
