@ifandbut01 @ThatEnglishGent @LoreReloaded @SpacedockHQ @MccabeAlasdair @EckhartsLadder No, but the FidoNet BBS's did. We also had Prodigy, and AOL. Some smaller ones as well. There has always been debate. Never has it been so bad. I remember there being a lot of hate for Voyager. Hate for DS9. The hate because, or over (neutrality sake) STD, imo is overwhelming!

@AOLSupportHelp Happy Holidays! I can’t send emails as message says no password entered on iPad or iPhone. Everything worked for years until Tuesday. I am losing patience. Everything you’ve sent to help me does not work! I need to send emails!

@TonyMassarotti You are absolutely correct, but clicking through to the Herald's slow to load website makes reading the story itself almost unbearable. I know it's a tough ride for traditional newspapers, but they have to be able to find the investment capital for a post-AOL-era website!

but largely, I feel fintech narratives are largely about being 'revolutionary'. now, they look like AOL scrambling for relevance. I guess they'll add "crypto support", but that's underwheling, not building on tech. Fence sitters aren't asym bets. I'd invest in a bank instead.
