Holy ****, did you ever do IRC? That one might be older than AOL, but I didn't use it that much. DC++ was my goto for chat and music

There's no obvious and direct replacement for Twitter because Twitter is not and has never been profitable. There will be a "next thing," but it will look like something else. AOL charged by the minute, Facebook charges the advertisers. We shall see what's next.
