  • WahidTazudeen Wahid Tazudeen (@WahidTazudeen) reported from Chicago, Illinois

I don’t know why my internet is running so slow. I have the latest version of Netscape Navigator installed with AOL webcrawler as backup.

  • thelastpinkcar Helena (@thelastpinkcar) reported from Chicago, Illinois

Geez @verizon I pay $330/month for 6 devices on a family plan, and I can only use my jetpack for approximately two weeks of normal internet usage, and then you slow me down to pre-AOL dial-up speeds. Just hate this. That's not fair at all.

  • AGuyNamedJeff J.A. Trailer Jr. (@AGuyNamedJeff) reported from Tinley Park, Illinois

@BNR_Demps @mrmorales1223 Naw she just gave me a long talk & sent me to my dad for an even longer talk cause I was typing up some spicy shit in the chat rooms on AOL lol

  • maikan5 ((( FRANK DUMAS ))) 🏴 (@maikan5) reported

@RubinReport Most comments here focus on AOC physical attributes but none seem to remember how horrendous AOL was. On a deserted island I'd rather have AOC trying to mimic the sound of the handshake of a 28k bauds modem in a coconut phone than trying to get this stupid CD to work

  • overthither Bring me flesh and bring me wine (@overthither) reported

@kuviraava I was a heavy internet user from like, age 10, but it was all AOL chat rooms where the idiot things I said disappeared into the ether and forums where no one could ever connect one of my accounts to another. I can't imagine having to grow up online the way things are now.

  • nopecontest Nope Spaghettification (@nopecontest) reported

Back in the day when I was a young lad I took one of the many free AOL CDs we got and I broke it into a lot of pieces to make a puzzle, and I scanned it in to try and make game out of it but never did. Left the pieces in the scanner too and my sister thought I broke it.

  • KPinArkansas KP (@KPinArkansas) reported

@RubinReport At least you could signal a plane with AOL

  • Spreadthemessag Average citizen (@Spreadthemessag) reported

@washingtonpost the washington post, aol, and huff post are the most racsit and biased rags out there. they should be shut down

  • lockrousseau God Emperor Atreides (@lockrousseau) reported

@RubinReport 500 hours of slow AOL > 5 hours of listening to AOC

  • leowalters Leo: a Leo, from Leo, by way of Leo (@leowalters) reported

@RationalDis Having a partner would make tasks easier to complete (shelter building, etc.), and having someone to talk to could help stave off madness, but you'd also have to split what may be a scarce food supply. The AOL disk could maybe be used to help start a fire, but that's about it...

  • praisegilgamesh James (@praisegilgamesh) reported

@RationalDis Imagine making that joke and then going through the trouble of finding a picture of both AOC and an aol cd. Too much effort for a joke comes off as pathetic

  • HogGord Gord Hog (@HogGord) reported

@RubinReport If I was stranded on an island with both the AOL CD and AOC and there was no hope of rescue...I would break the AOL CD and use the shards of broken CD to slit my wrists. In the end the AOL CD is still more useful than AOC.

  • Lylanthia Pumpkin Spice Foxxo (@Lylanthia) reported

@RubinReport Aol cd. I don’t hang out alone with woman I’m not married too.
