    thinking about that time when i was 9 years old and i stole my mom’s credit card, signed us up for AOL internet, and started chatting with a girl about ten years my senior in Massachusetts. as you could imagine, it was the most trouble i had ever gotten into at that point

    I remember being harassed, intensely and regularly, for instigating my class action against AOL. Claiming I did it for "E-Fame" or money. No I did it for one reason and one reason only. They pissed me off. I knew from before I was a KO that they were breaking multiple labor laws. My FIL was a lawyer and explained it to me but I made a decision to stay in the illegal position because I knew community online would become the world of the future and I wanted my part in it. Then they collectively **** upon a ton of folks, some of who were in extremely bad health, others terminal. And that pissed me tf off. They got rich off of people who could barely provide for themselves and then they cast them aside. I never thought I would end up changing internet employment policies for so many companies. Or that I would be classified as a labor activist. Strange trip folks #FTR

    @timesofindia Please refer any depressed students to nearby Aol center. it can help to improve passing most useless subjects and increase focus to come out of depression

    @5StringsInTX And to think we waited 3 minutes for a modem to hookup. Sitting here 4 hours for an @AOL EMAIL I SENT TO ME FROM MY PHONE BECAUSE I DON'T DO SOCIAL MEDIA ON MY PHONE. DO I strike you as stupid? My daughters do. What were we thinking?

    Something I didn't think would happen, happened!! I am exactly 3 years older than Ask Jeeves but I'll forever outlive Ask Jeeves. This sucks as Ask Jeeves was the de facto Google Alternative growing up during the Dial-Up/DSL Era, then AOL, Yahoo, MSN, Bing, and the rest came along. Definitely a bigger loss than Spirit Airlines in my view but it is what it is.

    @KobeissiLetter The merger is widely regarded as the worst in corporate history — a case where inflated dot-com valuations, cultural arrogance, and poor integration planning destroyed hundreds of billions in value in just a few years.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ -AOL Time Warner. $GME, Buy $HELE instead.
