Jesse (@jesse_altman) reportedIf you ever find yourself scrolling X and feeling like there’s too much happening and you’re falling behind on __________ thing, zoom out and realize by even being here and a part of the conversation you’re already light years ahead of 99% of the population w/ respect to the AI renaissance we’re currently living through. We’re still so early. It’s like the days when AOL used to mail you a CD ROM to onboard you onto dial up internet - we’re there. Spending the weekend with old friends in Austin, none of whom are in tech/SaaS or marketing. They’re doctors, actors/producers, teachers, civil engineers, carpenters, etc…and most of what we talk about on this app is totally alien to them. Which is totally fine. I’m hanging with the $20/mo Claude plan crowd. Their X feed is completely different. While I get a crazy amount of knowledge from this site it comes with decent bit of anxiety as well. There’s a shitload of noise to find the actual signal. That’s the apparent trade off — a sense of impending doom and feeling like if I don’t immediately test this platform/load this skill/build this workflow/try this model, etc…in exchange for what a never ending stream of knowledge from some genuinely brilliant people.

DJ Richards (@stumblebum54) reportedI’ve come to realize that Facebook is the AOL of social media. Horrible app developers. Probably hired them all from AOL.

JP (@SorceryPelvic) reported@Graestra @byoanarchy So everytime she booted up aol I would hall *** out of the house, my demanded to sit with me one morning before work and the janitor showed her where they were keeping me and my mom started flipping tables and ****, they called 9/11 and the cops took my mom's side.

Zamaterasu (@ZamaterasuBlake) reportedThis current A sol kit is so bad. I don't find him fun at all the active frame on his skills are so slow. It reminds me of prime AOL days when I was kid. I am not asking for damage buffs I am asking for faster cast speed on W and R.

AllThingsFirearms (@ATFirearmsTTV) reported@BlackBeamLabs I still have one of the few remaining @aol and @netscape emails... ******* for admitting that honestly lmao

Zak🇵🇸BRING VALKO BACK☄Get Legacy Cast in FF7R🌸 (@Zakksu) reported@nasykuching Back in the 90s when I had AOL dial up I used to print all the fanfics I wanted to read offline bcuz our landline phone was always used by my mom to call family overseas So I think printing them out for personal use shouldn't be a problem so long as you aren't trying to profit🤔

Mason Moses (@MasonMoses_TX) reported@Google requiring you to scan a QR code on your own phone to login is probably the least helpful technology in existence. Yes, it gives you “other options” though those rarely work without you doing it 5-6 times. They need to fix that or YMail or AOL is beginning to sound better.

UltraMan (@RZVLAZ) reported@washingtonpost AOL dialup internet is number one internet service provider again. What a time to be alive!
