@alanbush When I quit my $15/hr job as an operator (which was damn good for a 23 year old in 95) to go to AOL for $7/hr people said I was crazy. I told them our jobs would be automated away soon. They were out of their jobs before I moved on from supporting dial-up to cable modems.

  • chrisjordanme Chris Jordan (@chrisjordanme) reported

Unsubscribing from @Kohls marketing emails is a little bit like trying to cancel your 500 free @AOL hours from back in the day. 🤔

  • BorrisInABox Patrick Perdue™ (@BorrisInABox) reported

The subject on a message from an email list: "Need help please have issues with connecting to 1999" In the appropriate context for this group, this makes sense. Generically, though, ... Well, let's talk about AOL, BonziBuddy, RealPlayer G2, and so much more...

  • unmaskedspoiler The Spoiler (@unmaskedspoiler) reported

@FlayMark @view_raw Goldberg's not a problem. He's involved six weeks a year. WCW failed because when AOL and Time/Warner merged, they wanted to get out of the wrestling business.

  • mog1971safc steve mustard (@mog1971safc) reported

@RokerReport I’ve witnessed some utter shite at our club, but he is up there with the worst of them, should do a wall of shame at the aol to remind people where they don’t want to be

  • Mun1nn1 Mun1nn (@Mun1nn1) reported

@moby_dickhead @WeAreDN Who ******** uses aol? What evil is this?

  • deadlyspoons deadlyspoons 🥄💀🥄 (@deadlyspoons) reported

@beckness My rules of thumb for such matters: (1) Don’t be a chump. (2) Don’t be an *******. Scraping for concert tix is on a completely different ethical plane than pushing past AOL grandfolks trying to figure out these sites, so tread carefully.
