    @samstrades @MacroAlf Some of the hopes and dreams end up becoming reality. The thing is valuations often have a lot of conditionals that may turn out true or not. Microsoft’s hopes and dreams from mid 90s turned into reality, AOL’s never returned from the nightmares of 2000-2002.

    @AmazonKindle I got my Paperwhite a few months ago. I’m incredibly unhappy with it. I’m not even using it because it’s very slow, and choppy. It’s like I have AOL. I don’t. Ugh. It was a big waste of money. Im back to reading books on my phone.

    @9Now not working. Only time I have had streaming issues in the 4 years I have lived here. Cannot even watch Origin II. It’s the year 2022 and Channel 9 cannot deliver a simple streaming service. You’d think we were trying to dial into AOL in rural India in 1992.

    They are legit living in AOL days and scamming ******** out of people. I was told if I go over i get charged like we are living in 2002.

    I once (!) recovered a broken Sony Vaio from the AOL era, by manually rebalancing the cells to 3.5V It did actually run, astonishingly. Cells were above the safe minimum but just barely (2.41V, 2.62V and 2.29V) so at least it was possible to test. HDD was fried, screen bad etc.

    Then we have David Morse. I HATE him. He was okay in Hack, but he had a bad attitude on House. There was a guy on AOL that always talked about him being shitless, and a friend of my Mother's just swooned over him too. He's bag-over-the-head UGLY !
