Dave Lloyd (@Artoe_Daytoa) reported@GrantLavac @JonStewartIL your aol address is gone. Get a new one, then never ever use it - use email aliases instead. Proton, Norton & others provide them aplenty.
-
Demonetization Coach Jon (@Demonitizr) reportedMy mom passed on the opportunity to early adopt after Y2K never materialized. She still has the same AOL email address she had when she brought home that Compaq workstation.

Indy Anna (@daytripper_33) reported@TheMarcitect No, I must be the only 66 year old in the world who was just OK with my pre paid flip phone for calls & text. Ive had a computer at home since 1995, started when it was just AOL online....why would I be so stupid to pay for internet in my pocket also? Whats wrong with all of you?

HobbyBroadcaster (@HobbyBroadcastr) reported@cultofmac ... and who remembers eWorld, Apple's service that ran software remarkably similar to AOL?

90 Days Liquidity (@90daysliquidity) reported@TMTLongShort Feels like we’re in the early AOL days of AI in terms of product offering and token pricing. If you can get tokens/compute for 80% less on a decentralized network like Bittensor…
-
Panzerfaust FX (@PanzerfaustFX) reported@AwesomeNintend0 Logically, this is faked. That doesn’t make sense. PlayStation 1 … So what is the “again?” And what forum is this? I understand the pic has to be archive— the “sign in to reply” verbiage and font is definitely post-AOL etc.

Subject 89P13 (@stecal12) reported@Clmaggie20 @OrevaZSN That has to be crushing for you. Plus, when you lost AOL dial up service, that had to hurt too. Good thing you can still read your Encarta CD.

Xyphien - Retro VTuber (@Xyphien) reported@verydrearydays So, that was the case even back in the day. But they released some bangers. You had the doritoes running game on Xbox 360, 1 v 100. Before that you had Cap'n Crunches Crunchling Advanture which went absolutely hard and gave you some free AOL with it. But I do agree that games have gone down hill just as a whole since it became mainstream.

Weissening Blitz (@WeisseningBlitz) reportedMore random memory lane thinking. So, 13yo me on AOL found an RP group populated by a bunch of 25+yo women. You might think giggity, but weirdly, there were times where I was just hearing them out when they had some bad days. Was even one I phone chatted with.

Kass (@CancelledJew) reported@gainzy222 Never forget the sound of AOL connecting to the internets
