@_BarringtonII The internet was kinda cool when it was slow. I miss the earliest days on AOL. Now it's so entwined with everyday life that I resent what it's done to people.

@tukmila23 @ColumbiaBugle You have to cancel the card, these forever services seem to have the best credit card number changed service on the planet, I went though this with AOL. "I'll get you AOL, I will report my card lost," AOL was automatically informed of my new credit card number.

Ahh, that's pretty messed up. Internet Archive deleted an AOL proggie I uploaded because it allegedly violated their terms of service. Cos you know, an AOL hacking tool from 1997 is super useful still.

@Slate I kind of like the idea of taking the web back to the old days where you could just talk **** all day without being banned or flagged. My friends and I would sit in AOL chat for hours just cussing people out and calling them names for fun. We were like 12 years old

@io_saturnalia One of the cable providers , verizon maybe,now uses AOL for their email service. I have seen a lot of museum members change providers and have to change emails and it was an AOL address. I thought it was strange at first
