@WhoTheFIsAP Laugh all you want, but I still use my AOL email address, because, I don't give a ****. It's just an email address. Who cares? I never understood the stigma.

@piercepenniless Absolutely. There was a surreal period in the late 2000s when tech evangelists were talking about the Web as this ubiquitous, boundaryless thing that broke down all the "walled gardens" (meaning things like AOL and Compuserve)...

@Travelin_Ann @RadioFreeTom Facebook is far from being the first place on the net where people felt free to make ******* statements. AOL chat rooms back in the 90’s (probably on Prodigy as well,but before I got on the net) was an outlet for the inner *******.I don’t believe AOL used algorithms in chat rooms

@Leerzeit I am happy I have sold all my ETH. The project started with a purpose and lost its way somewhere.. ETH is the AOL of crypto.. It's dieing a slow death it will not disappear but it sure will not be in to top 5..

@hbkid718 @AdamOfTheBAN You can't compare the two. I can WCW was going to stay in business but Turner Broadcasting decided to cancel it. Not true, AOL/Time Warner inherited WCW & immediately wanted to sell/started looking for buyers. Sinclair is not canceling ROH. Yes they are read between the lines

@AOL 's spam filter is so bad every morning I wake up to at least 2-3 emails that are very clearly spam messages that somehow go through to my inbox.
