@shanselman Awww yeah! Norton Disk Doctor and Win Doctor were some of my first IT gig tools too! Installing AOL, setting up new CD-ROM drives, showing my network of grandmothers how to check email... An empire that could have been...

@UberFacts I have never used Twitter I only use MySpace and AOL chat.

  • BrassMunkieTV BrassMunkie (@BrassMunkieTV) reported

…and it definitely won’t be the last. Compuserv, Prodigy, AOL, INN, various dial up BBS and MUDs, IRC, MySpace, Friendster. Various other smaller communities. All of them have either shut down or are shells of their former popularity. We will endure.

  • badgerbrian2010 Brian Smith (@badgerbrian2010) reported

@Avi_Bueno Maybe you should worry more about people like SBF who managed to loose millions of peoples money over night, rather than a platform to speak that quite frankly would be replaced by another if it went down… aol message boards/MySpace etc etc

  • RockJockDavid David Atwood (@RockJockDavid) reported

@elonmusk @AOC You are welcome? As we watch you completely tear it down? So sad. What is going on with Twitter reminds me of what Time Warner did to/with AOL way back when. You are killing the goose......

  • Ackpht Don (@Ackpht) reported

@Independent Huge and seemingly indestructible tech companies unwind very quickly. AOL is one example. Twitter is imploding at a record pace. The self-inflicted damage caused by Musk in just a few weeks would take at least 2 years to undo. And he’s still doing damage.

  • MorphiousPrime َ (@MorphiousPrime) reported

I made an AOl Instant Messenger account incase twitter shuts down
