@BryanShephard2 It is all set now!! They hacked my email and aol has this stupid loophole that allowed them to keep doing it over and over. I guess that will teach me to keep aol! The good thing is I've had texts & calls from people I haven't heard from in a long time... Mike, Derek, etc.

1995 was straight elite. No smartphones. No endless scrolling. Just you, your crew, and real life. You’d come home, throw on some baggy jeans and flannel, pop in a CD, and pray the dial up didn’t die while you hopped on AOL. Pure analog vibes. We made mixtapes and burned cds. We actually had to remember phone numbers. 1995 wasn’t perfect… but damn, it felt real. Who else misses it? Drop your best 1995 memory 👇 #1995 #90sKid #Throwback

@bizegabe @FirstNameJ0hn The beginning of the end for WCW was when Turner sold the company via AOL merger. Even WCW at its peak '96-'97 nWo v Crow Sting days it was bad with execs. Turner execs hated wrestling. Only Ted kept it around. Starrcade '97 only accelerated the creative embarrassment.

@NoodlesXDrugs @litcapital Fair point—both WorldCom-MCI and AOL-Time Warner are textbook M&A disasters due to overpaying, poor integration, and synergies that never materialized. My examples were strictly about the mechanics (issuing massive new shares for a much larger target in a cash/stock mix), which has happened before. Whether GME could make it work is a totally separate question.

@avrldotdev @ChShersh America Online chat rooms, they were built into the AOL ISP Service. Programmers at that time congregated in "vb" (because phaders were made in Visual Basic)

@DKSportsbook What if your book offers “live bets” BUT their discount servers from Circuit City crash and they can’t get AOL on the phone to fix their dial up connection?

@TheMaineWire Jones and Migley are RCV buddies. Same with Bush and Wessels. Bobby was AOL... again. This narrows down my picks.
