@GiaMajune Ugh yeah I never went to the clubs in DC until I was 18 but I spent waaaay too much time in AOL chat rooms and message boards talking to men who knew my age and that didn’t stop them. 🤢

@ApartThis @houseofhuerta @lolennui Of you’re 35, your childhood wasn’t as analogue as hers. She didn’t even have email until college, never mind AOL, Friendster and MySpace. Gen X had Pearl Jam. That was our technology.

@denismiamibch @Davidco62164316 Idk, probably the same reason Apollo Global bought AOL and Yahoo from Verizon media shortly after VZ acquired those brands. Or even Elliot acquiring Barnes and Noble after a horrible year. When big brands go on sale, others look to eat them up
