@IconoclasticUK In case you are young, you are seeing a Betamax / Mozilla/ Friends Reunited/ AOL moment happening right in front of your eyes. Useless pieces of crap becoming so embarrassing you actually forget their names. Bye bye Stonewall, don’t let the door hit you on the way out 👍

@WilsonCompanies Easy: taking shots at boomers wearing Old Guys Rule shirts Hard: building a $5 mil business from scratch using a fax machine and AOL email I have issues with some boomer culture but building businesses with hard *** work and savvy isn't one of them

@Rob_Shenanigans @CHRlSBLAlN @benwinston As someone who was gutted both times, from my perspective the difference comes down to timing. Social media allowed Crew fans to unite quickly, many of whom had never met, and formed a collaborative that worked hard to get the message out. Dial-up AOL wasn't enough for Browns.

@jessbrammar Why didn't Verizon buy an ISP in the UK? That's their core business in the US and it never made sense that they had a foot in the UK without network capacity. They could even have gotten the remnants of UK AOL email accounts if they'd bought one of them!

@AOLSupportHelp OH your email with graphics doesn't work correctly on my PC, my iPhone or my iPad! The problem is yours.

Dear @ThreeUK. I was so exited when my new phone connected to 5G in Milton Keynes this morning and then London when I arrived. But I was not surprised when your 5G signal was no faster than me using early 2000s dial up AOL.

I still had parental controls on my tv. I was somewhere in an aol chat room. Hadn’t smoked. Never had a drink. Was just trying to learn how to roll up my uniform skirt. 15.
