@MaryPettyfer 1.....never had an AOL account

  • gwestr Greg Wester (@gwestr) reported

Elon using TSLA order flow to buy Twitter for $50B is our generation’s AOL Time Warner moment. A gargantuan destruction of equity capital at the top of the bubble built on bad CLTV assumptions. Crushed by market rate debt and a closed IPO window.

  • logicsayz (Jules) Waiting for ICAC with teeth. (@logicsayz) reported

@SandyHorne61 Well - what a bummer. But that's the first complaint I have heard re AOL. I use them all the time. Makes me be a tad more careful next time.

  • nils_gilman Nils Gilman (@nils_gilman) reported from Los Angeles, California

Time Warner didn’t live-tweet its meltdown after acquiring AOL. Daimler didn’t broadcast every day about the catastrophe of the Chrysler acquisition. Kmart and Sears died quietly together. MSFT and Nokia kept it on the down low, so did Google and Motorola, eBay and Skype, etc.

  • xieish Scareless CRISPR (@xieish) reported

@AricToler I am skeptical here. AIM usernames never allowed underscores & the offensive words were always banned on AOL/AIM screen name creation. I remember because when they moved from 10 to 16chr there was briefly a bug where you could bypass the word filter.

  • DanaW1968 Dana (@DanaW1968) reported

@MaryPettyfer 1 I never had an AOL email address.

  • aa05nxbxbxbxb1 Gyy Gyy (@aa05nxbxbxbxb1) reported

@celistaimaani @AOLSupportHelp I was so upset when my account was wrongly suspended until I was referred to superb_cr4ks on Instagram and he was able to resolve the issue Immediately

  • trowbdon Donna T (@trowbdon) reported

@bootleg_gene I never had AOL email.

  • itsjohanna84 Johanna🌸🇳🇴 (@itsjohanna84) reported

@bootleg_gene Hotmail was my start. Never got into MSN. My brother was into that. AOL. That’s really old school.

@ColumbuMishima Dude AOL was so off the hook but they lack advertising and that’s why their good **** didn’t make it sad! I mean they had it so good but many folks went to Facebook for communication basically. AOL is top notch but just didn’t know how to promote their material
