Then again this is the industry that never figured out how to handle screen names and accounts with a business. I couldn't have been the only one who noticed this issue during the AOL days where you had to call up and tell them your ridiculous screen names?

@theliamnissan They’re still using @AOL dial-up 56k modems in their laptop that looks like it would do more damage than Thor’s hammer if it hit the ground. I think that’s how they’re doing it. They’re still downloading news from the early 2000s. Another 20 yrs until they get to here.

@AOL trying to help my 70+ mother reset has password and she no longer has the phone number associated with the account. Your “premium” support also tells her that her name isn’t on the account. WTAF. She needs to get into that email to get out an important communication!!

Today I learned AOL bought second-rate social media site Bebo (remember that??) for $850m and sold it two years later for $10m. The CEO at the time, Randy Falco, then left to become the CEO of a major Spanish television network. Many such stories.

I can't help feeling my life would improve by having the AOL Instant Message sound clip play whenever I receive any type of message. It might not improve by a ton, but surely every little bit helps?

@aolmail Your spam filter is absolute trash. My inbox is completely full of spam. Marking it as spam does absolutely nothing. Please fix this. Its ridiculous this happens so often with your service. No other email service has this happen to it.
