@Pauseandplay It was for the Commodore 64/128. In the early 90's it shut down and the company morphed into AOL.

@BitcoinTina @1MarkMoss People have a problem buying bitcoin -at such a high price, in a few months they'll have a problem buying bitcoin. I used to think it'll look like an "AOL moment" but now I'm thinking it'll be more like a bank run.

@merlinslaugh @Kaetrin67 @JenReadsRomance Oh, she was always down on it being a romance, once back in the day we were on the same AOL forum thing & she told me off for calling it a romance and yet came to RWA to speak etc etc.

@skoisirius @WeekendWook Disagree. I never got on with Walls of the Cave. Not on the AOL First Listen, not on the last time I saw it, whenever that was. Hard pass. #PhishBracket

@JustSumDoodYo @skwp @bitman90 Going along with your analogy, bitcoin is like the internet and shitcoins are like AOL, compuserve, etc. Remember AOL wasn't even a part of the internet. It was a separate centralized and inferior network that got completely crushed by the decentralized and open internet.

  • JamaisonTweets El Matador (@JamaisonTweets) reported

@LolaluvBeach And the damn hazardous red mud makes it even worse! All that alkaline aol’n and salt get into the water system- and i’m sure adds to the hypertension in the areas! No real monitoring of the soil and water around the dumping areas - despite them saying there is!!! Hhhrre

  • BeckermaticOK CryptoArtistX's personal account (@BeckermaticOK) reported

By the mid 90s, cable TV was the standard here. Almost anyone had a connection. Some families shared the same outlet to reduce the budget, but it was kind of allowed by the cable service. Then AOL appeared, then several other companies started offering something called INTERNET.

  • brflux Brett (@brflux) reported
