@Bdalinkz @DailyLoud AOL, or America Online, pioneered dial-up internet in the 1990s, connecting millions with its software, chat rooms, and "You've got mail!" alert. Now a Verizon-owned media portal, it's discontinuing dial-up service on Sept 30, 2025, after 34 years.

@TysonThe2nd @snipeder 100% this. Let's think of this like Google vs. Yahoo in the early days of search advertising. Google was NEVER going to let Yahoo, MSFT, AOL or any other search engine take their business. And they didn't. You can't just siphon away Binance perps rev w/o them firing back.

The next significant update 12 hours later: "Openreach has been contacted to investigate the issue. Initial findings indicate a loss of connection to old Tiscali equipment in Hartlepool. Openreach has reported water ingress at the NEHAL site, but no power alarms have been detected. The power team is currently investigating. Field engineers have restored communications to the AOL suite, which has partially restored service to MPS. However, the TUK equipment remains powered off due to the water ingress issue."

@Phoenix2A_1980s Not all them, my wife’s friend lives in the country and randomly got a lawsuit saying “a pack of dogs” bit the driver. Amazon has no record of the incident, and she has two 10lb inside dogs, the law firm is some local one with an AOL email address. No records, just a lawsuit.
