    I’ve gone from AOL forums to Livejournal to MySpace to Facebook and I still have connections to folks I met along the way. If this place burns down, you’ll figure out how to find re-connection that matters somewhere else. But probably not Mastodon bc I already forgot my password.

    @AOLSupportHelp I have tried. This is a big circular motion. Someone at AOL, or whatever it's called these days, knows just exactly what is going on because some folks are not having an issue.

    @AOLSupportHelp @AOL Please fix app password generation. We mere mortals are unable to get any support to resolve this issue. The outtage seems like it's a potential push to generate revenue to me...

    @MyBestestThing I came off of welfare w/2 kids & beat out other candidates cuz I knew what a java applet was. All my AOL stock split & doubled a handful of times. As soon as it vested, I bought used computers from UC Berkeley to give to my poor friends. Got friends off of aid too. No complaints.

    @hughcards Compuserve was once the mega-service. Usenet was once the big one. Then there was AOL. Then MySpace. These things do change.
