my dad setting up my Aol Online: it is very important to never give your name or any other details about yourself. Also, you should only contact people you know. me, five minutes later: I wonder if there is anyone named TheCheeseMan… I should try to message and find out

My most embarrassing AOL screen name was kAntBeFaZeD and some combination of numbers I no longer remember back in mid 90s. Had other names but that was the worst.

@NicolaIsNotABot @Divamanda23 @asj519 Compaq presario in 1996 with dial up AOL and screaming parents who needed to use the phone line. Bag phone in my car. Yep, um, we don't know a damn thing about digital life. We've only seen it from it's advent to present day & been users of it the entire time. But please, go on.

@RaJones2020 @michejaw DR could be m or f? No! The prophecy is clear. No AoL? WTF! You can't have the breaking w/out the AoL! What a shame. I watched the trailer & I was scared of this. It just wasn't needed. They already celebrated both men & women. In some ways, they celebrated women more than men.

@Oddly_familiar @SazeracNELA @AndorianSoup It reminds me of early days on the WWW where every big company was creating their own version of the Web, like AOL, GEnie, Compuserve. If you wanted access to their content, you had to subscribe to their service. If your friends were on that platform, you wanted to be there.

@TeamYouTube I can now post comments on youtube, but not with the words "Rosetta West." I cannot cut and paste in my own AOL email with the words Rosetta West. And my band name/videos were clearly downgraded in the search engines. Please help. Never said unkind or controversial thing.

@JeanElizKrevor @Oddly_familiar @AndorianSoup And where are AOL, GEnie (where I was) and CompuServe (which I could afford) now? They were rendered obsolete. It’ll be interesting to see how all these streaming channels and issues shake out as time goes by.
