@LegionHoops These 2 bozos are moron Comparing AOL with modern internet. AOL is an Internet Service Provider like Sprint etc. It still exists. I wouldn't have been lost in the discussion of these morons was comparing dialup internet over broadband

@BollingerBeans It'll happen eventually! But you gotta bridge. Like go back further to AOL for the reverse argument. Everyone had a phone line and computers were rising, but the Internet was just BBSes and ****. AOL mailed you a way to have a good online experience. Then ppl were hooked

@OrionKidder AOL was the same, I think. And I remember having a separate service just for email - Juno. Might have also given basic Telnet (archie/gopher) access too, but "websites" were the last internet thing I got involved with.

@Vinestain This game has never been easy . Dot com was so obvious in hindsight but at the actual time I was stuck a decent amount before it turned. I had a chiropractor he was my friend and he told me how easy it was buying the dip in AOL . I said doc it’s easy because you don’t know what

@BigmoneyWeb3 @mundane_trevor People also said you could never beat AOL, MySpace, etc. all gone forever. First mover argument in technology is very ephemeral.

@LegionHoops For the record: AOL was never great. Not then, not ever.
