@eddytheaxe Oh that'll happen as soon as everyone remembers the days when they had to deal with bad actors who made chat rooms just pull people in to treat them like garbage. Sadly AOL has been gone far too long for that memory to be with everyone. *And Yahoo as well...

@TheStalwart As a business guy at AOL this was my view and frustration when presented with long dev lead times, I never understood it until someone wisely told me “nine women can’t have a baby in a month”

  • mmemordant Ems (@mmemordant) reported

Honestly, the vibe in here is very "AOL shutting down its artsy message boards for tweens, everybody sneak your email address into your goodbye post so we can trick the mods" and I'm feeling it tbh

  • J_Michael_Mull J. Michael Mull (@J_Michael_Mull) reported

I've been posting on the internet since Xanga and chatting since AOL chatrooms (those really were the good ol' days). If going down with the twitter ship, I'll rise up into that Bluesky

  • d_feldman Daniel Feldman (@d_feldman) reported

@CubicleApril I think AOL will still go down as the worst for destroying TWO successful businesses in one merger at the least opportune time ever. But Twitter is looking pretty bad.
