@adams024 @oneunderscore__ Social media was a mistake. The internet was a much better place pre any of that ****. Frankly it was much better when it took some level of skill to use outside of AOL which was curated and at least contained the idiots.

The Mickey hacking is terribly simplistic and very "90s computer hack". It does seek to redeem Mickey though. On the whole I think I prefered WWIII to AoL at the time - trapped in rooms works for me, feels v Who. But the solution doesn't feel earned enough.

@rikupone @omnijambles Shut ******** up zoomer. everything you just said is completely wrong. In the 90s no one had cell phones until around 99 and even then most people didn’t have one. MySpace wasn’t around till 2005. No one had geocities, we used AOL chat rooms or AIM.

@The_Harkonnen Having worked ISP tech support...I feel your pain. I remember one year, Amtrak cut a like that was basically the backbone of the internet for the East Coast...some guy was like, "cancel my service, I'll just go to AOL." I laughed when he hung up...I processed his request.
