    @gbildson @pkedrosky this was also before the pay per click search model. Netscape charged search engines $200k/yr to appear in the drop down search. Netscape did end up selling to AOL for $4 billion.

There are several major projects in defi that solve very expensive problems and create smart contracts for loans, liquidity, exchange etc etc etc.... they have value because people use them to solve problems. ETH is one. Coin just for the sake of coin = AOL

    @tony_sutton I never really got to use it. A friend had it I think. I did use AOL for a while though. Mostly I dialled it up, minimised the window, and went about my day on the actual internet proper. Although I did use AOL messenger.
